Setting up your space

Indulge yourself in creating a place in your home for your practice that feels sacred. For me that space is in front of a sunny window where I can look out at a tree.

Think of the things your favorite studio offers and layer them in. It’s best to be in a space where you can have quiet then add:

a diffuser or incense with fragrance that aligns with your practice like lavender to relax, citrus to energize, eucalyptus to breath deeply

all of your props - mat, blanket, blocks, strap, or improvising items you have at home like a beach towel, scarf or books

maybe create an altar with a candle, inspirational photo, Tibetan bowl, crystals or other energetic stones

spiritual readings, poems or other wellness writing

music

if practicing online, a great idea is to mirror your phone to a tv or plug your laptop into a tv, so the teacher and possibly students feel more proximate
